With your impending doom coming this weekend I was wondering what the city will be like the weekend after next as my wife and I are flying in for the weekend. Will tourist traps be open? Will Uber bring out their fleet of tauntauns to get around on/sleep in? I figure chicago is pretty good about main route snow removal I just wonder how good NYC’s is? Also is the bar from How I Met Your Mother a real bar?

I’m 20 mins from NYC and the latest forecast says about 5-8 inches total. That’s not really enough to shut everything down in NYC, let alone Jersey. You should be fine as long as you have a lightsaber and/or your tauntaun doesn’t die

Snow removal is pretty efficient, use the subway to get around and no, that bar is a prop in California but the bar it’s based on is on W 55th St between Broadway and 8th street.

Sweet. We were already planning on using the subway and getting the unlimited weekend pass. And good to know about the bar. Like I knew they didn’t film in NYC but I wasn’t sure if the bar was still based on a real bar. I k ow we are definitely hitting up the doctor who bar in Brooklyn though
